Golden Ring

The Golden Ring is often considered the main tourist route in Russia. It’s a circular itinerary embracing eight ancient Russian towns. The route covers the lands of the historical Vladimir-Suzdal Rus, with many churches, monasteries and historic stone and wooden buildings scattered along the way. It’s a treasure-trove for history buffs and those interested in discovering ‘the real Russia’. All of the towns on the Golden Ring lie within striking distance of Moscow, making it possible to utilise different means of transport to move along the route – train, bus, or even bike.
