Chukotka is the easternmost region of Russia, where the international date line passes through. There is endless tundra and snow-covered hills all year round, hot springs and many different sea animals. 

The Chukotka Peninsula is home to Pevek, the northernmost city of Russia, and Anadyr, the easternmost. Houses in the settlements are painted in different colors to cheer people up on cloudy and gray days.
