Frankly speaking, Russia celebrates the New Year 11 times! As early as 3 pm on December 31, some Muscovites already start opening bottles for New Year's Eve in Kamchatka! And so, every hour until their own, Moscow midnight. And then, an hour after their own New Year’s, Muscovites can again raise a glass to Kaliningrad.

You can also celebrate New Year's Eve in the Urals, then quickly fly to Moscow and celebrate it again. But, there are places where you can travel through time without any flights and celebrate two New Years in a row!

For example, the village of Yadrino in Amur Region and the town of Obluchye in the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Amur Region are 10 minutes away from each other. At the same time, people there live in different time zones (see pic 1 below).

From Izhevsk, the capital of Udmurtia, it is a 40-minute drive to the town of Agryz, which is in Tatarstan and lives on a different time – an hour earlier (see pic 2).

But, there are also real time-travel portals in Russia, where you can meet THREE New Years in a row.

For example, if you quickly move from Udmurtia to Tatarstan and then to Bashkortostan (Proof at pic 3).

A similar situation occurred on the border of Samara and Orenburg regions and Tatarstan near Bugulma. All of them are in different time zones (see pic 4).
