St. Petersburg transforms for New Year’s Eve 2025 (PHOTOS)

Traditionally, the northern capital is decorated with light installations in the imperial style. We’ve gathered the most beautiful streets here!

1. The city’s crown jewel, Nevsky Prospect, lit up with garlands.

2. A huge heart appeared on the Italian Bridge, while the Griboyedov Canal was illuminated with floating LED clusters.

3. The famous griffins, which guard the Bank Bridge, can now be seen at night.

4. As per usual, Christmas stars line all of St. Petersburg’s central streets.

5. A luminous gallery appeared on Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street.

6. The Leningrad Trade House was decorated with toys from the ‘The Nutcracker’ ballet.

7. The main Christmas tree of the city was installed on Palace Square, complete with candies, balls, huts and horses. It is surrounded by snow-covered houses.

8. New Year fountains appeared in the garden of the Winter Palace.

9. And on Bolshaya Morskaya Street, you’ll find numerous lit Christmas trees and New Year's balls.
