Elton is the largest salt lake in Europe. It is located in Volgograd Region. 

Salt was mined there in the late 19th century and, today, you can see many tourists on the shores of Elton. 

At sunset and sunrise, the lake gets a golden pink color, due to special microorganisms. It looks very beautiful!
