Not far from the city of Kotelnich is one of the world's largest locations of herbivorous anapsid parareptiles pareiasaurs (Pareiasauridae). Skeletons of these prehistoric animals are still being found and the most valuable of them is the entire skeleton of a baby pareiasaur. For safety reasons, it is carried only with human hands.
