An American cheesemaker found himself in the Russian countryside (VIDEO)

Jay Close was born in New York and during his long life he has managed to live not only in the USA, but also in Europe and even far away Australia. In the 90's Jay decided to see how people lived in post-Soviet Russia. After this trip, American Jay Close realized that he had found the place where he wanted to stay forever.

In the village of Moshnitsy, near Moscow, he built his own house, which he had been dreaming of for so long, started breeding goats and engaged in cheese-making. It turned out that this business started bringing in a good income.

Locals often visit Jay not only to buy delicious cheese, but also to listen to interesting stories from the life of this adventurous American. He certainly has a lot to tell: Jay traveled the world in search of himself! He worked as a chef in Paris, flew business class with designer Valentin Yudashkin and Pierre Cardin, was friends with singer Iosif Kobzon's son Andrei, traveled with The Rolling Stones and crossed the seas onboard bigtime cruise ships. And now Jay is building his own restaurant in the Moscow region, making a variety of cheeses, and holding cheese-making classes for all comers.
