Russia is home to the fluffiest and angriest cats in the world – the Pallas’ cat. In many winter photos, you will see it putting its paws on its tail and it looks incredibly cute.

Mother Nature has gifted Pallas' cats very dense fur, which allows them to survive in the harsh conditions of Siberia, where it can be as low as -50°C (-58°F).

But, their paw pads freeze like the most common cats.

Therefore, on really cold days, a Pallas' cat warms its paws on its tail, having previously shaken off snow from it, so as not to get them wet.

Kittens learn this from their parents from a very early age. As soon as its paws are warm, the Pallas’ cat is ready to hunt and explore the world again!
