On April 20, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates this major religious holiday, which, this year, falls on the same day as Catholics and other Christians. And, here's how the capital was decorated for Easter.

The area around the city’s main cathedral, Christ the Savior Cathedral, has been decorated especially lavishly.
