Russian national anthem translated (Sing with us!)
The Russian national anthem, which can be heard at ceremonial sporting and official events, was established and first performed in 2000. New lyrics were laid on the music of the Soviet national anthem.
Lyrics for the Russian national anthem were written by poet Sergei Mikhalkov. Interestingly, he was also the author of the Soviet national anthem and became most famous for his children’s poems and fables.
